Cookie Controls
Small browser files, clear security purpose.
This policy explains what cookies do, why they are used, and where browser controls fit in.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit our website. They help us provide you with a better experience by remembering your preferences and understanding how you use our service.
How We Use Cookies
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, authentication, and accessibility features.
- User authentication and session management
- Security and fraud prevention
- Authentication security and session refresh
Analytics Cookies
ThreatCues does not currently set third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, this policy and the consent controls will be updated before those cookies are used.
Preference Cookies
Theme, consent, notification, recent-search, and quiz preferences are stored in your browser's local storage rather than preference cookies. This data stays on that device unless you clear it.
- Theme and display settings
- Cookie-consent choice
- In-app notification and quiz state
Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please note that removing or blocking cookies may impact your user experience and some features may no longer be fully functional.
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies from specific sites
- Block all cookies from being set
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser
Third-Party Cookies
Django provides the essential ThreatCues session and CSRF cookies for migrated account flows. During the controlled migration window, legacy Supabase cookies may remain on devices that used the previous sign-in system, but the current login, registration, and recovery screens do not depend on them. We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or third-party social tracking pixels.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
